China's home price continues to rise in November

Official data released by National Bureau of Statistics shows home prices in large Chinese cities continued to rise in November despite persistent efforts to cool the property market.

Of the statistical pool of 70 major Chinese cities, 66 saw a month-on-month rise in new home prices, with the highest rise of 1.3 percent.

On a yearly basis, all cities except Wenzhou reported gains in new home prices. First-tier cities continued to lead rises last month, with the price of new homes in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen surging over 20 percent from a year ago.

Meanwhile, 63 cities recorded price rises month on month in second homes with the highest rise of 1.2 percent. Compared with the same month last year, 68 cities saw second home price rises.
