Apple unveils new "iPhone 4"

Apple has unveiled the brand new iPhone 4 with a thinner design, higher-resolution screen, longer battery life and front-facing camera.

On Monday, Apple's CEO Steve Jobs showed off the new product at a software developer's conference in the United States.

He said the new iPhone is just under 10 millimeters thick, allows up to 40 per cent more talk time compared to previous models and has 100 new features.

The iPhone is scheduled to go on sale on June 24 in the United States, France, Germany, Britain and Japan. Everyone else will have to wait until July.
