Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has criticized Israel over its raids on Gaza-bound aid ships, which killed nine people and injured dozens more. Speaking in Washington, where he met U.S. President Barack Obama, Abbas said the decision by Israeli commandos to board a flotilla in international waters is "unlawful and unacceptable."

Palestinian President said, "Our main demand is how to end the blockade on Gaza. I believe the world, now the entire world, stands with us. There are people from more than 32 countries who took part in this flotilla, so many countries sympathized with what happened. Israel attacked this convoy in international waters, which is unlawful, unacceptable internationally, in addition to the fact that they attacked innocent people."
