Denmark beats Cameroon 2-1

Denmark's Dennis Rommedahl scored one goal and helped set up another to lead his team to a 2-1 win over Cameroon in the World Cup.

Denmark's win eliminates Cameroon from the tournament and advances the Netherlands through to the second round.

Cameroon's forward Samuel Eto'o slotted past goalkeeper Thomas Sorenson after Christian Poulsen's pass to Simon Kjaer was intercepted in the tenth minute.

Nicklas Bendtner leveled in the 33rd after receiving a square ball from Dennis Rommedahl following a long diagonal pass from Simon Kjaer.

31-year-old winger Rommedahl scored to give Denmark a 2-1 lead in the 61st minute, going past Jean Makoun and curling a left-footed shot past goalkeeper Hamidou Souleymanou.
