Ghana and a 10-man Australian team finished with a 1-1 draw in their Group D match at the World Cup.

Brett Holman put Australia ahead from close range in the 11th minute after Ghana's goalkeeper spilled a free kick.

Asamoah Gyan equalized for Ghana with a 25th-minute penalty after Harry Kewell was sent off for blocking a shot on the line with his upper arm.

Ghana now has 4 points after 2 games. Australia has only a single point from both its contests.
