Police in Simdega district in India's eastern Jharkhand state have recovered a suspected militants' arms cache and ammunition from a jungle.
According to the police, the weapons were recovered whilst chasing the gang during an operation. Police followed them and recovered all the arms, especially rifles.
Some villagers were taken in custody for questioning. Rebels have recently have stepped up attacks in response to a government security offensive to clear them from their jungle bases.
