China's National Meteorological Center has forecast another round of rainstorms, from Wednesday to Saturday along the Yangtze river. It's expected to be the last for southern China.
The Centre held a news conference in Beijing to explain the current rainstorms hitting southern China, the strongest this year. The bureau has sent nine teams to inspect the situation and launched five emergency response plans. Weather experts advised staying away from trees to avoid lightning, and to intensify landslide and flood prevention measures.
