The IAEA is ready to cooperate with plans to build four nuclear power plants in Egypt. The country is now working on locations for construction.
The head of the UN nuclear watchdog, Yukiya Amano, met with Egyptian leaders in Cairo. The IAEA chief voiced his full support of Egypt's nuclear program. He said the IAEA is very happy to cooperate with Egypt in its project of introducing nuclear power. Amano proposed sending a mission to the country, but gave no details.
