Russia has resumed gas supplies to Belarus after it paid its nearly 200 million US dollar bill for previous shipments.
On Thursday, Alexei Miller, the chief of Russia's state-controlled gas giant, Gazprom, told President Dmitry Medvedev his company would resume supplies.
It's one day after Belarus claimed it had paid off the debt and three days after the suspension of supply.
Belarus has demanded Moscow pay what it claims is a 260 million US dollar bill for transiting the gas to Europe, or it will cut the shipment of Russian gas.
