U.S. President Barack Obama has met with Saudi King Abdullah in Washington. Tuesday's meeting covered a number of strategic issues, including the Middle East peace process, Iran's nuclear program, and the global economy.
President Obama and the Saudi King both stressed the need for a Palestinian homeland alongside a strong Israeli state.
They expressed hopes for a resumption in direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians. They also voiced strong support for international efforts to curb Iran's nuclear program.
