Floods continue to wreak havoc in Romania, a week after they started. Heavy rain has triggered rivers to burst their banks, killing 22 people and destroying crops, bridges and hundreds of homes.

The floods have affected a third of the country. More than 2,000 people have been evacuated from the eastern village of Saucesti.

Road and rail services have been disrupted in some areas, with trucks struggling to make it through floodwaters.

Emergency authorities say more than 100 communities have been affected in the last 24 hours.

Soldiers and emergency workers have sandbagged river banks and are working to clear debris from landslides.
