Iran is claiming its passenger planes were denied fuel in Germany, Britain and the United Arab Emirates. Iranian officials, attributed these actions to the new sanctions recently imposed by the US.
The Iranian Airlines Union, said this fuel denial went on for about a week. So far, the national carrier Iran Air and Mahan Airlines have been affected. Authorities of those countries, deny an official ban on refueling Iranian flights saying halting supplies would be a commercial decision by private firms.
The firms want to comply with a new US sanctions law. Meanwhile, a senior Obama administration official, comments that these firms are right to choose cutting business ties with Tehran.
