Ghana's national soccer team, the most successful African team in this year's world cup, has returned home after being knocked out in the quarter-finals.

Thousands of fans showed up to welcome their team. The plane carrying the players was sprayed by a water cannon when it touched down, a traditional welcoming gesture in the country. Referring to their last match with Uruguay, captain Stephen Appiah says they did their best for Ghana and Africa, but luck was not on their side. But he's also promising that Ghana's team will make its way to the next world cup

Stephen Appiah, Ghana Captain, said, "I'm not a prophet, but definitely by any means necessary, we are going to qualify for the 2014 and we are not just going to qualify but we are going to Brazil to be title contenders. Thank you."
