Following Israel's Monday announcement, that it's significantly easing the blockade on Hamas-ruled Gaza to allow virtually all consumer goods to come in, shops in the territory are full of produce, but few buyers are making purchases.
Abu Hani, Gaza Resident, said, "There is nothing new. What is different? Only that it came from the Israelis, and not from the tunnels? Iron and construction materials are not entering through tunnels, and now it's the same. So nothing changed, it only became worse, because goods are allowed in, but how can a worker eat and live?"
Israel, says it will continue to ban most travel and exports from Gaza Strip, and will limit the import of construction materials. Officials, add that building supplies like iron and steel will only be allowed to enter under Israeli supervision, for use in projects overseen by the United Nations or other international organizations.
