China's top legislator Wu Bangguo and French Prime Minister Francois Fillon have met in Paris to agree both nations should further consolidate bilateral ties. They also want to expand economic cooperation.

The French Prime Minister says Wu's visit to France will strengthen the friendship between Paris and Beijing and promote a France-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

Wu says China and France share many common interests. He also thinks it would be beneficial for both countries to further develop bilateral cooperation.

Wu also says the Chinese and French economies are highly complementary and there is great potential for further cooperation.
