Netherlands fans blame the oracle octopus

07-12-2010 19:54 BJT Special Report:World Cup 2010 |

As Spanish fans are celebrating their victory, Dutch supporters were mostly subdued as they lost the game. It is the Netherlands' third defeat in a World Cup final. Some angry fans were convinced the match-winning goal was off-side, while others even blamed Germany's "octopus oracle" that got the world's attention during the Word Cup by consistently picking the winning team.

Netherlands Fan said, "Why wasn't the rehearsal at the stadium? Why? Tell me why. Any chance so far, there has been a replay. This time there was no replay, and I want to see it back on the television. And it was off-side. We think it was off-side."

Netherlands Fan said, "Bloody octopus, it is the Octopus's fault, it is not good, I am Australian and I am very upset."
