Tropical storm "Conson" has intensified into a typhoon, as it moves towards the South China Sea.
As of Tuesday morning, Conson was about 520 kilometers east of the Philippine capital Manila, with a maximum sustained wind of 120 kilometers per hour near the center.
It is expected to make landfall over the east area of Luzon Island by Tuesday night, and will reach the South China Sea on Wednesday afternoon. The arrival of Conson will bring rainfall and help ease the heat wave scorching southern China.
