Security breaches in Iraq have grabbed the attention of officials and the public. While people think there's a weakness in security operations, army officials emphasize that forces are using every means possible to stop security violations.

Within less than 2 months, the number of the American forces will be diminished to 50,000 troops. The remaining forces will be training, equipping and supervising the Iraqi forces. These obligations are under security agreement between Iraq and the United States. This American support will last till the end of 2011.

Meanwhile, because of frequent security breaches, the Iraqi forces started using a certain explosives detector at every checkpoint. This device had failed for several times in detecting booby trapped vehicles. American Commanders emphasized: Iraq is about to buy sniffing dogs to tackle the problem of those security violations.

Gen. Raymond Oderno, Commander in Chief, US forces in Iraq, said, This explosives detector is made in Britain. The British government arrested the manager of the manufacturer company, because it was approved that the instrument is disqualified for this task. Surprisingly, the Iraqi security forces are still using it. Yet, this matter is bewildering the citizens. People believe that this device is useless and there is maladministration in the security forces.

This explosives detector is made in Britain. Although it has been approved to be disqualified, the Iraqi security forces are still using it. Ordinary people, however, are not cheated. They believe that the device is useless and there is maladministration in the security forces.

An Iraqi citizen said, "The officials who are importing these devices have no experience and information about these instruments. They only hear that this device is explosive detector, and in fact it is not but it could be for other purposes."

Another citizen said, "Why these instruments are still in use?, they only are delaying people, you need at least half an hour to pass any checkpoint, and at the end you pass without actual checking. It seems that the officials do not have real plans."
