In northwest China's Qinghai Province, water levels on the hotspring reservoir in the upper reaches of Golmud River have begun to fall, easing the critical situation.
According to the flood control and drought relief department of Golmud city, the water level has dropped seven centimeters since Tuesday evening. It says this is good news, but the water level is still above the warning line, and the amount of water in the reservoir is still above the record of 210 million cubic meters.
