In the US, dozens of passengers have been injured on a United Airlines flight that encountered strong turbulence. It was forced to make an emergency landing in Denver, Colorado.
The Chief Paramedic at Denver hospital says 21 were rushed to hospital. Most of them suffered from moderate head, back, and neck injuries, but no one was severely hurt.
A United spokeswoman says Flight 967 took off from Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C, en route to Los Angeles. The total number of passengers aboard the plane was not yet available.
