US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has arrived in Seoul for a conference with US Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, and their South Korean counterparts.
The so-called "two plus two" security talks, the first of its kind to be held between South Korea and US, will focus on reaffirming their military alliance amid heightened tension on the Korean peninsula following the sinking of a South Korean warship.
Clinton and Gates will be visiting the Demilitarized Zone dividing South Korea and the DPRK, to demonstrate their "steadfast commitment" to South Korea.
After their trip to the DMZ, Clinton and Gates will meet with South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan and Defense Minister Kim Tae-young, and hold a joint press conference.
