Clinton and DPRK attend ASEAN conference

While hosting the ASEAN conference, Hanoi has become a hotspot for diplomatic meetings. DPRK has sent its high-profile diplomats and US, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton also arrived. She was keen to remind her hosts that Asia remains at the top of the Obama administration's agenda.

The much anticipated arrival of the delegation from the DPRK, they haven't attended ASEAN at this level for some time.

ASEAN has already issued a statement urging all involved in tensions on the Korean peninsula to act with the utmost restraint.

Ri Tong Il, DPRK Spokesman, said, "If the US is really interested in the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, it should halt military exercises and sanctions that destroy the mood for dialogue. It should instead create conditions for dialogue."

And later in the day, it was US secretary of State Hillary Clinton who was turning heads.
