Mano Menezes has accepted an offer from the Brazilian Soccer Confederation to become the country's coach. He is a specialist in leading big clubs out of the doldrums.
The 48-year-old confirmed Saturday that he had accepted the offer. Replacing Dunga in the hot seat, Menezes will have the huge task of rebuilding Brazil's national team and trying to win a sixth world title when the country hosts the 2014 World Cup. The invitation was earlier made to Muricy Ramalho, but his club Fluminense refused to release him.
