British Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in the Turkish capital Ankara on Monday for a two-day official visit. Talks are expected to focus on Turkey's bid for EU membership, as well as bilateral ties.
Top British officials are expected to reaffirm support for Turkey's EU accession. During the visit, both countries will update and re-sign a strategic partnership document.
The visit comes amid a debate in Britain over whether to adopt stricter immigration policies. Any possible change is likely to affect roughly three-hundred thousand Turkish immigrants residing in Britain.
