Traffic on a highway linking the Tibet Autonomous Region and the neighboring province of Sichuan has been blocked by mudflows caused by melting snow and ice.
A 76-meter-long bridge above a mountain stream has also collapsed. Repairs are difficult because of its isolated location.
It's also close to the section of highway which was destroyed by landslides on Monday which stranded hundreds of people and vehicles.
Local authorities says it's not clear when the damaged section of the highway can be reopened. No casualties have been reported.
