The last US combat force in Iraq has handed a military base in western Baghdad over to Iraqi security forces. Saturday's move is a further sign of this month's withdrawal of all the country's battle troops, as promised by President Barack Obama. Full Story>>

To discuss the withdrawal of US combat troops from Iraq, we're joined by current affairs commentator, Professor Hua Shiping.

Q1: The move is another step in US President Barrack Obama's promise of withdrawing troops, but violence is still rife throughout Iraq. So what do you think of the prospects for a US "advisory role" in combating possible surges in violence?

Q2: Iraq is experiencing a power vacuum after the general elections produced no clear winner. How long will it take for the country to form a new and efficient government?
