The Macao Post Daily is reporting Internet giant Google sent a letter to the Macao government, asking they be allowed to recommence image collecting activities on the island for its Street View services.
Google wants to perform the activities over a 46-week period. Macao's Personal Data Protection Office says if Google is to be allowed back into Macao, they will have to follow relevant privacy laws. The local government is still carrying out an investigation into the activities' alleged privacy breach.
