With more heavy rain forecast to hit Zhouqu in the next few days, experts from the Land and Resources Department are conducting an investigation into the county's geology, trying to locate other places that may be vulnerable to landslides.

After examining an area of 70 square miles, experts have listed another nine that could face further mudslides. They say they could be dangerous to both rescue workers and residents still living downstream.

Experts are also warning people to be aware of the nearest evacuation route and escape to high ground as quickly as they can if a new disaster threatens.
