50 years of Beatlemania in Hamburg

On August 17th, 1960, The Beatles played their very first concert at a club in Hamburg, Germany. Now the city is celebrating the anniversary of the performance.

Exactly 50 years after the first appearance of The Beatles, Hamburg is honoring their exceptional contribution to the history of pop music with a string of events. Club Indra, their first stage in Hamburg, became a milestone for the British band.

Fans from all over the world can take the opportunity to experience one of four concerts of New York band Bambi Kino, which will play at the club during the celebration. And they can also see a recreation of the Star Club, one of the other venues made famous by The Beatles, which laid the foundation for their world-spanning career.
