Update on Sichuan and Gansu landslides

First, to the landslide in southwest China's Sichuan province where 13 people have been killed and another 59 others are still missing. Officials estimate over 5.7 million are affected by the disaster. The cities of Deyang, Mianzhu and Dujiangyan, and Wenchuan County are the worst hit. The area was the epicenter of the devastating earthquake in May 2008 that left about 87,000 people dead or missing.

Meanwhile, authorities have warned, with more rainfall on the way, there could be a repeat of last week's landslides in Gansu Province's Zhoqu County. At least 1,254 people are dead and 500 others still missing. China held a national day of mourning for the victims on Sunday, a week after the disaster.
