A landslide on Thursday struck several houses in a low-lying area of India's western Maharashtra state, killing six people.
Parts of a cliff fell on the homes during the landslide. Police say six bodies have been recovered and eight injured people have been sent to hospital.
Landslides have hit many parts of India as a result of fierce monsoon rains and high winds that rapidly erode the sloping terrain of hills and cliffs.
