Severe floods hit Liaoning province

China's State Flood control and drought relief headquarters has reported that severe floods have hit Yalu River and its branches.

Severe floods triggered by heavy rain have affected nearly 460 thousand people in five cities in Northeast China's Liaoning Province. 127-thousand people have been evacuated and moved to safety.

The headquarters has dispatched work teams there to organize local rescue and relief work. The Ministry of Civil Affairs has issued a level 4 emergency response.
