The government of the Hong Kong Special Administration has released a list of the victims names from Monday's hostage crisis in Manila.

The list includes only the names of the 8 people who were killed on the bus. A total of nine were killed, including four females and five males. Another seven tourists were injured with mild to serious injuries. Earlier during the incident, the gunman released six people.

The tragedy occurred on Monday, when a bus carrying 21 Hong Kong tourists and four Filipinos was hijacked in Manila by former Police Inspector Rolando Mendoza. He demanded authorities reinstate him in the police force. Mendoza released some hostages but kept 15 Chinese nationals on the bus. Police shot the gunman dead, after he began opening fire.
