Wen Jiabao also went to a farmer's household, where the owner took in victims. Wen appreciates that his generosity encouraged local people to help each other.

In the afternoon, Wen visited Yingxiu county, where he met with relief crews made up of soldiers, police, armed police and volunteers. He says the crews should speed up dredging efforts, and reconstruction of major roads and electricity infrastructure. He also advocated experts forge a comprehensive reconstruction plan, identifying areas prone to danger.
