The sixth Beijing-Tokyo Forum has concluded in the Japanese capital. During the meeting, officials and scholars from both countries exchanged opinions, deepening mutual understanding.

The two day forum was co-organized by China Daily and Genron NPO, a Japanese non-profit think tank. This year's forum focused on the future of Asia and Sino-Japanese relations.

More than 800 representatives from both sides discussed politics, economics, media, security and regional issues. The Beijing-Tokyo Forum has been held alternately in China and Japan every year since August 2005. It is one of the most significant platforms for non-governmental communication between the two countries.
