Let's move to Chile where new video footage released by the government shows improvements in the living quarters of the miners trapped deep underground.

The 33 miners showed clean-shaven faces, and new clean clothing. They also had large supplies of bottled water and other goods.

One trapped miner said through the video link that everything had changed deep underground, thanks to the lifeline pipe. The short video is a stark contrast to previous videos that pictured the men shirtless and more subdued.

The latest tape also showed the arrival of supplies from half a mile above ground. Mining safety experts say the effort to save the men is an unprecedented challenge.
