More than 2,000 tents have been pitched in the hard-hit Thatta area of Pakistan's Sindh Province.

The Chinese Rescue Team has built a field hospital to provide timely and adequate care. The squad is now focusing on epidemic prevention and medical treatment. Pakistan remains in dire need of help, as acute diarrhea, skin infections, and respiratory diseases are becoming quite common.

Huang Jianfa, leader of China International Rescue Team, said, "We've treated more than 700 patients every day. At the end of today, the total number will be five-thousand. But there are still many more patients in the area, so we're considering strengthening anti-epidemic operations, while continuing to provide medical treatment."
