About one-thousand troops from the Chinese People's Liberation Army have arrived in southern Kazakhstan for "Peace Mission 2010." They'll take part in the anti-terror drill, with four other countries, under the guise of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

A journey of 5-thousand kilometers over 7 days.

That's what three contingents of China's PLA troops experienced on their way to Otar city in southern Kazakhstan.

They're here for Peace Mission 2010.

On Wednesday, the third contingent arrived and headed straight for their training base, 20 kilometers from the train station.

The first and second PLA contingents have already arrived and are busy setting-up.

Wang Bing, leader of first PLA contigent, said, "The soldiers of the first contingent started to build the barracks shortly after their arrival. So the troops who arrive later can start to do their work quickly."

A total of 1,000 PLA troops, including a ground force combat group, an air force combat group and a logistics group will participate in the drill.

Troops from other Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries will also take part.

About 5,000 troops from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan will participate in Peace Mission 2010 from September 9th to 25th.
