California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger is continuing his trade mission to Asia with a stop at the Shanghai World Expo where he promoted California's bid for the 2020 World Expo.

Schwarzenegger, the star of the "Terminator" movies, made the announcement inside the American pavilion. He was joined by leaders from the Bay Area Council, a business advocacy organization that will spearhead the effort for California's bid. The governor expressed pride for his adopted home state. He hopes hosting the event will bring similar tourism and economic gains to recession-hit California.

California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said, "I'm California's biggest sales person and cheerleader. I believe always California is the greatest place in the world. We know that a World Expo will also bring up to 50, 60 million people and visitors. It would be great for business, and stimulate the economy. This year is all about jobs, jobs, jobs. So I think, that if we get this bid that it would be really terrific for job creation for our state."
