The recent heavy rainstorms in south China's Hainan Province have twice submerged Lian-xian village in Qionghai city. Now, due to approaching Typhoon Megi, local residents, who'd just returned from shelters, have had to pack their possessions AGAIN and are being evacuated for the third time.

Heavy rains caused Lixian village to be flooded twice in October. The highest water level reached 3 meters. Because of the soaking, some houses are uninhabitable. Now, typhoon Megi, meaning "catfish" in Korean is set to force local villagers to go to sanctuaries for the third time this month. In order to protect their own possessions from being flooded, villagers have come up with some useful methods.

Fu Qiuqiao, villager of Lianxian village of Hainan Province, said, "We take some light stuff with ourselves, and built a 2 meters' high shelf for the heavy things. We put our possessions on it to make sure they are safe. "

Now, more than 2 thousand villagers have reinforced their damaged houses and packed their bags, waiting to be evacuated to the highest point in their village before the end of Thursday.
