Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak launched the ruling National Democratic Party's campaign for parliamentary elections.

He is also acknowledging the fruits of economic reforms have not reached all Egyptians and is pledging a free vote.

The party's new candidates will be up for elections on November 28th. Mubarak is promising to help those who have not benefited from the reform, development and growth.

He spoke a day after a coalition of 16 local rights groups voiced their assumptions that the vote will be rigged, because they say authorities continue to crack down on opposition activists and place restrictions on the media.

Since its formation in 1978, the National Democratic Party dominated Egyptian politics. After nearly 30 years in office, Mubarak is already Egypt's longest serving leader since the 19th century.
