Thailand flood death toll rises to 206

Thailand has been inundated by flood waters for more than a month. The disaster has caused incredible damage to the nation and the death toll from the disaster has now risen to 206.

Volunteers are being deployed to help harvest rice and reduce damage to crops. Vegetable prices have risen as a result of the floods. The dilemma was caused by a combination of heavy rainfall and water released from reservoirs. Flood waters have receded in 21 provinces, but the problems is still ongoing in 18 other provinces. More than one-million people are still affected by the floods.
