Two civilian bodies back to South Korea mainland

South Korea's coast guard has transported the bodies of two civilians from Yeonpyeong Island to the port of Incheon. The two were killed in Tuesday's shelling of the island by the DPRK. Security has now been heightened along the disputed border between the two sides on the Korean peninsula.

Two white coffins were ferried from Yeonpyeong to the South Korean mainland. Both in their 60s, they were killed in the most serious skirmish between the the North and the South since the Korean War.

Meanwhile, at a military hospital very close to Seoul, relatives and soldiers paid tribute to the two marines killed on Tuesday.

While visiting the hospital, South Korean Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik tried to comfort the families of the two marines.

Kim Hwang,South Korean Prime Minister, said, "I feel very regretful and sorry for the families of the deceased. I hope that the families do not lose hope and live strongly."

On the Internet, tributes were paid to the men.

South Korean News Agency, Yonhap, broadcast video of 22-year-old Seo Jeong-woo's blog on the Internet after he was killed by artillery fire.
