Japan presents bid for 2022 World Cup

The 2022 World Cup team from Japan, has presented its final bid to FIFA in Zurich. The bid is one of a series of presentations on Wednesday, by the five candidates for the 2022 tournament.

Japan's presentation was introduced by eight-year old Rio Sasaki, who spoke of her dream to make friends from around the world. Kohzo Tashima, Chairman of Japan's 2022 campaign, announced the "Dream Teacher programme" as part of the country's football development for children.

Japan is promising to broadcast the games using revolutionary new technology. And Tashima spoke of a "world cup experience in four hundred stadiums worldwide". Presentations are also being made by Australia, Qatar, the United States and South Korea. FIFA's executive committee will decide the winner on Thursday.
