A violent day in Afghanistan: 9 people killed, 15 injured in several bomb attacks

Sunday has been a day of violence in Afghanistan, with 9 people killed and 15 injured in attacks across the country.

The country's defense ministry says five Afghan army training officers were killed, and nine wounded, in an attack by suicide bombers in Kabul.

Meanwhile, two suicide bombers stormed an army recruitment center in the northern province of Kunduz, killing at least three soldiers.

Eyewitness say casualties could have been far higher. Clashes are still continuing inside the compound. Also on Sunday, a child was killed and four other children injured, as a roadside bomb hit a civilian car in Kandahar province, southern Afghanistan.
