President Hu Jintao is en route to the United States for a four day state visit. His American counterpart Barak Obama will greet Hu Jintao upon his arrival in Washington. The leaders will discuss a range of issues.

This is Hu Jintao's first state visit of 2011, and his eighth meeting with US president Barack Obama. Hu Jintao is expected to meet business leaders and members of the US congress. He will also visit the State Department, Sino-US chamber of commerce and the Confucius institute in Chicago. President Hu Jintao is being accompanied by a number of senior government officials, including Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Zhang Ping, Finance Minister Xie Xuren and Commercial Minister Chen Deming.
