Chinese embassies celebrate Spring Festival

Staff in Chinese embassies around the world are celebrating the up and coming Spring Festival and sending their new year greetings back home ahead of the lunar new year.

Over 300 Chinese gathered at their embassy in New Delhi on Sunday. Overseas Chinese, students and Chinese business owners were invited to join the celebrations. A series of Chinese traditional games, as well as singing and dances were featured at the gala.

A sense of festivity, was also felt at the Chinese embassy in Afghanistan, as dozens of Chinese attended a reception there. The participants, wished all the Chinese in their homeland a happy new year.

In the Czech Republic, local children and their parents were invited to the Chinese embassy to make dumplings,--- a must-have Chinese traditional food--- which symbolizes reunion. The ambience was then energized with Chinese songs, dances and martial arts.
