Tens of thousands, have continued to demonstrate and press for Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to resign. It's a standoff, that Gulf Arab ambassadors, hope to resolve, during talks in Saudi Arabia.

Weeks of turmoil and violence have left more than 100 people dead, but on the streets of Sanaa, demonstrators remained defiant. The ambassadors, from the members of the GCC, met opposition figures at the Saudi embassy in Sanaa, to issue an invitation of talks after Saleh accepted the GCC's reques to mediate on Tuesday.

Faced with mass demonstrations demanding an end to his 32-year rule, Saleh ignored an offer for power transition, by the opposition on Saturday. But sources told Reuters that Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies, are trying to broker a deal to have Saleh step down and hand over power, possibly to an interim council of tribal and political leaders.
