As fighting continues in the besieged Libyan port of Misrata, rebels are struggling to keep the city supplied and to evacuate those waiting to leave the battle area.

Rebels used boats to bring much needed supplies from Benghazi in the east to Misrata in the west. On Friday, a fishing boat commandeered to frontline duty arrived at Misrata after a trip of 30 hours.

While en route off the coast of Libya, the ship was intercepted by a western military vessel. It was part of the NATO operation to enforce a UN arms embargo. A helicopter was dispatched from the NATO ship to inspect the rebels' vessel.
