For more on Syria, we're joined by Professor Li Guofu, Director of the Middle East Studies Center,at the China Institute of International Studies.

Q1: Professor, Syria has a strategic importance in West Asia and North Africa, and has very close ties with Iran and Lebanon. How then, might the conflict affect relations with it's neighbors and military partners?

Q2: US and European countries have been considering sanctions on Syria's government. Is it possible that Syria becomes another Libya?

Q3: How do you think the situation will develop in Syria?
